SOLD - 1979 Roger Staubach #400

$0.00

SGC 7.5: #5003363 - Near Mint+

SHARP CARD!!

Roger Staubach had a strong year in 1978. He led the Dallas Cowboys to a 12-4 regular-season record and helped them secure the NFC East division title. Staubach threw for 3,190 yards, completing 57.5% of his passes. He recorded 25 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions. Furthermore, Staubach's leadership and poise were on full display during the postseason. In the Divisional Round playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons, he orchestrated a late-game comeback, throwing a game-winning touchdown pass to Drew Pearson in the final minutes, an iconic play became known as the "Hail Mary." The Cowboys went on to defeat the Falcons and advance to the NFC Championship game. Thought the Cowboys fell short of reaching the Super Bowl that season, Staubach's performance in 1978 demonstrated his skill, competitiveness, and ability to lead the team to success.
